- My boys ask to swim alone, cross the street without a parent, etc. and as the parent, I still say no... Using the reason that her daughter"asked" for it is idiotic.

- @ Shell Boogie - I agree completely. I had my son at 19 and was already moved out, working full time, had private health care... I went back to work and I paid full price for daycare. I didn't have any assistance from the government in his child care expenses.

- It seems like this captain was set on a good time and completely disregarded all safety. Because of this, three children are dead. Prayers for their families.

- As a friend of someone who has commited suicide, please let me share somthing with you. The person who chooses to commit suicide does think of the people being left behind, in a different way. At least in the case of my friend.

- I believe this mother needs to be hit with some kind of neglect or endangerment charges. She let her children live in a trailer with her convicted sex-offender father. He should have been back in jail for probation violation on that one.

- If Baez chose to use animation to show that the tape was only around her mouth, wouldn't that make it obvious then that he is lying about the "accidental drowning?" Why would duct tape around the mouth be needed for swimming? Or after, for that matter.

- It is impossible for me to pass judgment on a mother who believes she is doing the best for her child, however, I still have my opinions. This boy had autism, regardless of to what degree, he didin't deserve to be let waste away from cancer because his mother chose not to medicate him.
